‘Iron Man 2′ Movie is Coming … First Teaser Trailer Hits The Web

2009-12-17 – Iron Man 2Oh ….. shhhh. “Iron Man 2″ is coming.

A new trailer for the upcoming film has hit the Internet, creating excitement as fans anticipate its release.

At the beginning of the new, short two-minute plus clip, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) stands before the U.S. Senate who orders him to turn over his “Iron Man” weapon to the government, but he refuses.

“You can forget it. We’re safe. America is secure. You want my property? You can’t have it,” Stark says in the hearing. “But, I did you a big favor: I have successfully privatized world peace.”

Then, the teaser continues, showing Iron Man ready to dive out of a plane, asking Pepper Potts (played Gwyneth Paltrow) for a “smooch for good luck”. She responds by sarcastically kissing his helmet before tossing it out of the plane.

The trailer came after a series of leaked photos and posters became to pop-up on the web. Shortly after, the new teaser trailer popped up on iTunes, where it’s now available to be viewed.

The trailer reveals new characters such as the Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson), War Machine (played by Don Cheadle), and the new Iron Man villain Whiplash (played by Micky Rourke).

“You come from a family of thieves and butchers,” Whiplas says in a thick accent, presumably addressing Stark. “And now, like all guilty men, you’re trying to rewrite your own history.”

“Iron Man 2″ hits theaters May 7.
