Accenture drops Tiger Woods

Accenture management consulting, technology consulting and technology outsourcing company begins to shed Tiger Woods, removing Woods from their website after a six-year contract. “We know what it takes to be a Tiger” and “Go on be a Tiger” will no longer be heard through Accenture. Accenture Tiger Woods or Tiger Woods Accenture, three words that will not be in the same sentence, they tend to clash in the eyes of Accenture.

On December 8, 2009 Nielsen released that Tiger Woods TV advertising has been altered since Tiger Woods mistresses began to release their claims through the media.

On December 11th Gillette announced that they will not allow Tiger Woods’ appearance to promote their product until further notice. On December 13th Accenture followed suit with a full twist. Gatorade dropped Tiger Woods but they planned on this action before Tiger Woods extramarital affairs surfaced. The two were not connected.

On Saturday AT&T backed their plan on evaluating the situation before responding further. Tiger Woods sponsors begin to slice his future, but is it enough to change The Cliff of High Carolina?

Long before any of Woods’ mistresses went public Tiger Woods planned on creating his first golf course at The Cliff at High Carolina located in Blue Ridge Mountains near Ashville, North Carolina. The Cliff of High Carolina is said to be 7,279 yards, Par 71; elevations reaching near 4,000 ft.; state of the art Wellness Center and Spa; walkable course; trail system with miles of mountain trails.

The price range for a luxury home in Tiger Woods’ The Cliff of High Carolina can be mouth dropping. However, the view and homes are absolutely spacious and beautiful. Tiger Woods’ big sponsors are sticking by him as they should, even after Accenture dropped Woods. Even though Accenture is a large drop in a bucket, Woods has more sponsors that are equally as good if not better.

Unless Tiger Woods has committed a crime or is founded to have committed a crime the sponsors should not drop Tiger Woods as many support this avenue. But when a sponsors image is tainted they tend to run away. Nike, an excellent sponsor, still supports Tiger Woods.

Tiger Woods is not the only one to consider. Many other sports stars and celebrities commit the same acts under the radar. It is obviously common knowledge that top names have done far worse off-camera, even when it involves multiple sex.

As for The Cliff of High Carolina I anticipate that many will visit the golf course when complete. I too will enjoy the greens of a mountain side. Perhaps one day the Tiger Woods’ updates would surround the opening of The Cliff of High Carolina.

As for Tiger Woods’ sponsors, let’s hope that they offer Tiger Woods a chance to prove he is worth the investment. It’s not like Tiger Woods is Michael Vick. And let’s not forget that Vick was signed onto the Eagles after spending time for cruel animal treatment.

Unless one of the mistresses can “prove” with substantial evidence that Tiger treated them unfairly, Woods will not be the focus of cruel animal treatment in my book.
