CHAMONIX, France –
Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, rang in the New Year with some snow on a French vacation, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
A source confirmed to NBC News that Nordegren has been vacationing in southeast France, staying in a luxury ski resort in Les Houches near the Chamonix valley – overlooking the picturesque Mont Blanc.
She was at the resort for a week before leaving on Saturday.
Besides celebrating the New Year, Nordegren was also celebrating her birthday. The former Swedish model turned 30 on Friday.
Nordegren was accompanied on the trip by her twin sister Josefin, NBC News confirmed. According to Radar Online, her sister’s husband and four close friends were also on the trip.
No word if Nordegren was headed back to her home with Woods in Windermere, Florida.

Scorned Swedish beauty Elin Nordegren headed to an $8,000-a-night chalet near the swank resort of Chamonix to celebrate New Year’s with her nearest and dearest.
And that didn’t include the golf great who was unmasked in November as a serial philanderer with a dozen mistresses.
Nordegren, 29, arrived in France a couple of days after Christmas with her twin sister Josefin and five close pals, London’s Sun reported Saturday.
They stayed in a posh seven-bedroom chalet away from the main resort, and the mother-of-two spent most of her time inside.
She did venture out once to hit the slopes but turned back because of rain, and she had a expensive dinner with friends on New Year’s Eve, the paper said.
Woods, 33, was nowhere in sight – and he hasn’t been seen with Nordegren since he crashed his SUV outside their Florida home the morning after Thanksgiving.
The murky circumstances of the crash unleashed an avalanche of reports that the athlete had been cheating on his wife with cocktail waitresses and porn stars for years.
“Elin wanted to take her family and close friends away from the minefield Tiger has created by his behavior,” an insider told the Sun.
“She has been absolutely torn to pieces by what he has done to her. But she still sees a future with Tiger because of the beautiful children they have.
“She told him she needed a lengthy time apart to reflect on how they might possibly salvage the marriage.”
