Johnson and Johnson heiress Casey Johnson dies at 30
Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson, who had recently announced her engagement to reality star Tila Tequila, has died at age 30. Los Angeles police have confirmed that it appears to be a natural death and there is no evidence of foul play. Before that, her death was announced by Tequila on her Twitter page.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Police Officer Sara Faden said, “Earlier today at about 11:51 this morning, our Wilshire area patrol officers responded to an ambulance death investigation in the 900 block of North Orlando Avenue. The LA fire department also responded and pronounced Miss Casey Johnson dead at the scene.”
The Police Officer added, “Through a preliminary death investigation, it does appear it was a natural death as there was no foul play. And of course the Los Angeles coroners office will conduct their own investigation, which includes a toxicology screening. There is no evidence at this time that there was any foul play.” The next step will be an investigation by the coroner that includes toxicology tests, she said. Casey Johnson was the companion of actress Tila Tequila.
“The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time,” Jesse Derris, a family spokesman, said in an e-mailed statement.
Robert Johnson purchased the Jets, of the National Football League, in 2000.
Tila Tequila had announced her death news to 227000 followers by tweeting on her Twitter page, “Everyone, please pray 4 my Wife Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w/ family.”
However, Casey Johnson was the great-great granddaughter of the founder of the pharmaceutical giant, and the daughter of New York Jets owner Robert Wood Johnson. Recently, she had engaged to reality TV star Tila Tequila. Now, she has left a toddler daughter Ava whom she had adopted.
