Sony kicks off countdown to world’s most anticipated football event with Sony 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Caravan Strikes strategic collaboration among official FIFA Partners to leverage high profile partnership marketing platform
Spearheading its AV/IT and lifestyle innovator leadership position, today, Sony Thai Company Limited announced a strategic partnership with fellow Official Partners of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ including adidas (Thailand) Limited, Coca-Cola (Thailand) Company Limited, the Emirates Airline, and Hyundai Motor (Thailand) Limited for the launch of the SONY 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Caravan. The key marketing movement aims to uplift Thai consumers’ enjoyment and experiences with specially prepared marketing activities such as the Sony Festival 2010 Promotion. Sony 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Caravan starts from now until 06 December 2009 at Siam Paragon’s Fashion Hall. The Caravan will be on road show to The Mall Bangkapi and The Mall Ngamwongwan in January and April 2010 respectively.
As a FIFA Partner, Sony is helping promote the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in Thailand along with the Sony Festival 2010 Promotion at which Sony customers can enjoy a chance to win special packages to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ final and semi-final matches, inclusive of air fares and accommodation in South Africa, as well as other prizes worth 2 million baht.

Sony 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Caravan highlights the long history of the FIFA World Cup™ in a one-of-a-kind exhibition featuring official football designs, jerseys and football boots, history of the city and the football stadiums, special football talent shows, and many other entertainment programmes such as a concert by Slur, as well as a PlayStation®3 Football gaming competition featuring EA SPORTS™ FIFA 10. The event also marks the launch of a Sony Festival 2010 promotion, running from now until 16 February 2010 at participating authorized Sony dealers and Sony Style showrooms at Siam Paragon, Emporium, The Mall Bangkapi, The Mall Bangkhae, The Mall Ngamwongwan, and United Center on Silom road.
Sony Festival 2010 offers a 10 per cent on-top discount and 10 month installment plan. For every 3,000 Baht spent, Sony customers will also have a chance to win 2010 FIFA World Cup™ final and semi-final rounds tickets along with other special prizes worth 2 million baht including BRAVIA LCD TVs, Blu-ray DVD players, VAIO Notebooks and many more items.
