Tiger Woods leaves sex addiction rehab clinic with wife
No more cold showers for Tiger Woods.
The golfing great and serial cheater has reportedly been sprung from the Mississippi sex addiction clinic where he has been learning how to keep his urges under control.
His long-suffering wife, Elin Nordegren, was in Hattiesburg and intending to escort him home to Orlando, RadarOnline.com reported Friday.
Once there, Woods will be briefly reunited with their two kids, whom he hasn’t seen in a month, the web site reported.
After that, RadarOnline claims “the couple is planning on spending some time alone as they attempt to repair their marriage.”
The Woods marriage was imperilled around Thanksgiving after Nordegren reportedly found the tawdry text messages Woods sent to New York party girl and reputed mistress Rachel Uchitel.
After Nordegren grabbed a golf club and chased her husband out of their mansion, Woods was linked to a dozen other babes – including several who saved their purported text messages from the girl-crazy golfer.
Woods has publicly apologized for his “transgressions” and checking into the clinic was seen as an attempt by him to make things right with the wife.
As part of his therapy, Woods had to fess up – face to face – to Nordegren about his sexual shenanigans. He also allegedly had to refrain from all sexual contact while in treatment, including masturbation.
Nordegren has reportedly told pals she wants to remain Mrs. Tiger Woods because she doesn’t want their kids to grow up like she did – without a full-time dad.
Woods, however, is more interested in saving his moneymaking brand, a Florida friend told People.com last month.
The disgraced golfer “wants to go back to being a golf star with major endorsements,” the friend said. “He wants his clients, who have kids of their own, to think he is a good family man.”
Woods earned $64 million from endorsements last year, making him the top athlete brand as ranked by Forbes magazine. Since the scandal broke, he has been dumped by major sponsors like AT&T and Accenture.
